Carbon Neutrality

The sustainability committee started a sub-committee where we began to analyze the offices carbon footprint. This involved not only understanding the offices electrical consumption, but embodied energy. This included measuring the employees daily commutes and travels to job sites to better understand the energy invloved to run the office.

  • The goal is to paint a picture in how the office may move forward to reduce carbon emissions for a healthier future.

 
 

The first step was to collect commuting data from each employee. A survey was created where each employee entered their typical morning and evening commute as well as means of transportation. With this data I was able to quantify roughly how much carbon we emit solely based on our commute.
